The Institute offers an ideal setting for retreats, planning seminars and training programs. The Appalachian Room - with expansive windows, a firplace and nature all around - offers indoor and outdoor seating for 50 with nearby breakout rooms. The Hospitality House – a massive log structure featuring a great room with a fireplace, cathedral ceiling, and large windows that provide a sense of oneness with the beauty of the natural surroundings. Adjoining the great room is a dining area offering delicious meals prepared from fresh foods. The floor below the great room has a game room, a lounge, and a library for indoor comfort and relaxation during breaks. Of course, visitors often prefer wandering outdoors to explore the woods and trails or simply resting in a rocking chair on one of the porches.
Those who choose overnight retreats will find the Lodges very comfortable. The rooms are double or single occupancy with private bath. All buildings are wheelchair accessible and have facilities for the handicapped.
A variety of computer and audio-visual equipment is available. The buildings have wireless internet access, and fax and copying services are available.
