St. Joseph Institute is ideally suited for small wedding celebrations with families and friends.

The chapel, grounds and lodges create a unique and beautiful natural setting. Our wedding services include the use of our chapel for the rehearsal and wedding, rehearsal dinners and receptions. The wedding party and guests can also arrange to stay at the Country Inn. To provide a “stress free” event, our staff can take care of the details: contact the clergy, organize flowers and cakes, confirm the photographer, etc.

Wedding celebrations are hosted in the following facilities:

Bald Eagle Hospitality House has a great room with a huge fireplace that provides a welcoming space for rehearsal dinners. The indoor and outdoor dining areas comfortably accommodate small receptions (up to 36 people).

Forest Chapel is nestled in the valley between two gently flowing streams. A glass wall behind the altar, stained glass hand-crafted in Germany, and a cathedral ceiling with heavy timber beams, create an inspiring setting for weddings (up to 75 people). The nearby amphitheater, with a pond, waterfall and stage, are a beautiful outdoor option.

Appalachian Room offers a banquet room with a fireplace that can be decorated for a casual or formal event. The adjacent deck provides outdoor seating at tables with umbrellas. The wood floor is excellent for dancing. (maximum 70 guests)

Sycamore Lodge offers 11 double rooms. A fireplace lounge, kitchen for refreshments, and expansive front porch create comfortable accommodations for your guests. This cottage is often set aside in its entirety for wedding parties.

Recreation areas where your guests can meet and enjoy time together include tennis, basketball and volley ball courts, shuffle board, miles of walking trails, a large bonfire pit and a children’s playground with tree houses, swings and bridges, and a playhouse filled with toys.

Fees:

Chapel or amphitheater rental $1250

Appalachian Room $650

Rehearsal dinners: Start at $17.50 per person

Wedding receptions: Start at $28.50 per person

Guest rooms (standard) $170 per night (prices include breakfast, there is a 2 night minimum on weekends)

Wedding Coordination $35 per hour

Notes:

The reception meal at St. Joseph Institute is served in the afternoon. Socializing and dancing can continue into the evening in Appalachian Room.

Guests are responsible for providing and serving alcoholic beverages and ensuring their responsible use.

A 10% gratuity is added to food costs.

A deposit of $1000 is required for all weddings.

The Institute welcomes members of all faiths. Weddings using the chapel must have a spiritual dimension.
