1. Do you accept health insurance for treatments?
   The Laurel Wellness Center requires that guests pay directly for the services they receive.  At your request, a detailed statement of treatment, with appropriate coding, will be provided for submission to insurance companies.  Please recognize that many insurance companies do not provide reimbursement for preventative treatment or complementary medicine.
    
2. How long should I stay?
   Our professional team will recommend the optimum stay based on the treatment plan we believe will be most effective.  During your visit we will constantly evaluate your progress, and suggest appropriate revisions in the treatment plan based on your progress. 
    
3. Will I have support when I return home?
   We are very concerned about your ongoing well-being.  In addition to routine follow-up, our professional team is available to provide telephone consultation and counseling. We can also work with you via e-mail to track progress, update your treatment plan, and offer support.
    
4. Are you affiliated with any specific church group?
   The Laurel Wellness Center and St. Joseph Institute operate as a private, non-denominational organization, without affiliation with any specific church or organization.  People of all religious traditions are welcome.  The Institute strives to reflect the Christian faith in practice -- caring, healing, and supporting people with real compassion, as we seek to help our guests discover greater wellness, health and happiness.
    
5. Do you offer experimental treatments?
   While we utilize many of the latest techniques and research, we do not consider your health and wellness an experiment.  We do not embrace the latest “miracle cure” unless we believe there is real evidence of its effectiveness.  We look to the best knowledge in Eastern and Western medicine, nutritional science and counseling when developing your treatment plan.  However, we are pioneers in areas where experience has shown that the techniques we use improve upon common professional practice.  This is especially true in the field of bodywork. Our goal is simple -- to offer the best possible outcome.
    
6.  What are HealthPrint tests?
   We believe Your Future Health, the company that originated the HealthPrint, is a leader in blood testing for preventative health care.  These tests also provide the most comprehensive information to guide the design of your optimum nutrition plan.
    
   HealthPrint goes far beyond regular blood testing.  The standard testing includes 57 measures in 10 categories.  You can then add specific tests for cancer, heart disease, thyroid and other conditions.  The results of these tests often enable the detection of disease long before there are any noticeable symptoms.  It also provides an understanding of your unique biochemistry so that the best nutritional program can be developed to promote wellness, prevent disease, heal DNA, and slow the aging process.
    
   The blood samples required for HealthPrint can be taken at 3000 sites across the United States, or even in your home.  The laboratory results are provided to us in advance of your visit, so that we can be fully informed at the outset.   You will receive a full copy of the results which can also be sent to your physician.

   The treatment plans and all personal records are kept strictly confidential and never released to a third party without your written consent.
